Sorry for the lack of posting

I've been having a little holiday time while I'm in New York and visiting with family and friends. I will begin posting again soon with my New York Fashion Week Daily Round ups.

The countdown to NYFW started last week and with 1 day left to go I'm jumping out of my skin wanting it all to start. Keep reading and I can't wait to hear your comments on the festivities.

And thank you to everyone who left lovely comments on the post about my mother. She has been blown away at the number of people who commented. Thanks so much for making her day.

Finally!!! - I get to go to the Francis Studio

Today I finally got to be one of those bloggers who visited the fantastic Francis Studio. Francis is a line designed by Christian Francis Roth and as my regular readers know I LOVE Francis dresses. I have five and I think two more are coming. It was so wonderful to go to the studio and see all the other fantastic pieces live because I always pick my dresses out of a lookbook.

Here is a look at the pieces I'm coveting right now.

And finally me with Christian.

I really must put a shout to Ms WendyB who introduced me to this fantastic line of clothing. I can't thank her enough. And I can't wait to finally meet her . . . . next Wednesday, YAY.

Snowy New York

Today was my nephews 11th Birthday and luckily I was in New York City to celebrate with them. It's COLD in New York, well at least cold to me. I running around with about 4 layers and a huge fur coat and sometimes I'm still cold.

I also travelled to my old stomping grounds in Brooklyn and hung out with friends. All and all a great day in NYC.

Wearing my Christian LaCroix vintage bustier, Don't ask Amanda leather Skirt, Siren Gucci copy boots and Cotton On tee shirt and Diva necklace.

Me standing in the snow thanking the heavens that I brought this huge fur coat.

My mini-me niece wearing my huge fur coat. She is going to hate me for putting up this photos but it was too cute for words.

New Year New Closet Organisation

A couple of days ago, two of my favourite blogs blogged about wardrobe assessing (of sorts). Sharon of SR Style talked about making lists of the things she would like to acquire in 2010 and Ms Diabolina of Da Fashionista.com did a post about organising her closet.

I decided to do a combination post where I organised and assessed my closet at the same time. I recently moved into the most fantastic house where I have an amazing closet. It takes up a whole wall of my room. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?) my room consists of closet, dressing table, dresser and bed. Very small room but I love it.

Here are some pics of my newly organised closet.

Hats on top shelf
Shorter dresses, pants and jackets on top rod

Denim jackets, shirts and skits on bottom rod

Some luggage and small handbags (in larger tote bags) on top shelf
Long dresses and coats on hanging rod
Track clothes, jeans, skirts, sleepwear on shelves
On floor of closet two bags full of belts and scarves

Handbags on top shelf and top right shelf. Boots on top left
Shoes organised by type

Now after a fair assessment I think I only need a few things, a few crisp white shirts, a pair of tailored black trousers and some long sleeved tees for layering in winter. I love being organised but hate organising. Thank goodness this job is done till 2011.

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year and a great 2010!

Tough Girly Girl

There is a lot going on today. Meeting the cast, meetings with Production, waiting for packages, getting costumes ironed and steamed and so much more. In the middle of all this I received a package from the fabulous people at the Francis studio. It contained this fantastic ruffle bolero jacket. It went so well with my outfit that I immediately put it on.

Here is a close up of the jacket. I realised that there wasn't a lot detail in the photos above.
